      The Information and Cultural Department of the Embassy of Japan in Nepal takes pleasure in informing all concerned that, the Japan Resource Center (JRC) is open for its members in order to disseminate updated information on Japan at the annex inside its chancellery at Panipokhari, Kathmandu.

      Interested scholars, students and friends of Japan are most welcome to become members of the Resource Center. The facilities will be made available to members only from 9.30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, except holidays designated by the Embassy of Japan.

      Facilities and services provided in the Resource Center are as follows:
  1. Reading reference books on Japan and Japanese language studies  (See Book List)
  2. Watching NHK World Premium TV program during opening hours
  3. Counseling and guidance on higher studies and scholarships in Japan
  4. Reading Japanese newspapers
    (Asahi, Japan Times, Nikkei, Yomiuri)
  5. Video Library (Japan Video Topics) (Other Video List)
  6. Registered members are privileged to receive the Embassy's
    E-mail service.

Periodicals (such as
Japan Echo, Nipponia,
Gaiko Forum) that describe
what's happening in Japan
with business, economy,
culture, society, science,
technology and much more



Reference for higher
education and scholarship
in Japan


Provides a wide selection of text books, dictionaries, audio-visual materials for Japanese learners
      To be a member of the Resource Center, one must bring his or her own ID Card and its copy, fill up an application form provided by the Embassy and submit it to the Cultural Department of the Embassy along with 2 Auto size photograph/s and recommendation from the affiliated organization. Then the Embassy will provide its membership card. To enter the JRC, the membership card is compulsory.



Audio-visual materials on Japanese language study, present day Japan (Japanese version), Japanese world heritage. Also available is NHK
World Premium TV live.
 

Books in Japanese as well as English ranging from Japanese tradition and culture to contemporary Japanese culture to disseminate
information on Japan


Applications are accepted from 9.30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Mon-Fri)
