Visit of Japanese Parliamentarians Election Observers

Mr. Tadahiko Ito, Member of the House of Representatives and Mr. Gaku Hashimoto, Member of the House of Representatives and son of late Mr. Ryutaro Hashimoto, former Prime Minister of Japan, are visiting Kathmandu for three days to observe the Constituent Assembly Election scheduled on April 10, 2008. They will arrive in Kathmandu on April 9 at 12:45 hours by TG 319 and will leave Kathmandu on April 11 at 13:50 hours by TG 320.

During their stay, they will visit various polling stations located in Kathmandu valley to observe the manner in which the election is conducted. They will also pay courtesy call on Ms. Sahana Pradhan, Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs and meet with political leaders and election officials to exchange views on the election-related issues. Upon their visit, they will also carry a message from Mr. Yasuo Fukuda, the Prime Minister of Japan to Right Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala.
