Japanese Artists Talk Program in Kathmandu

On 28th April 2019, the Embassy of Japan organized a talk program by the popular Japanese artists at the Embassy hall. Renowned Japanese literary figure Ms. Mariko Hayashi, famous architect Mr. Kengo Kuma, who designed the main stadium for Tokyo Olympic 2020 and noted script writer of Japanese TV dramas and movies Ms. Miho Nakazono, were the attractions of the Talk Program. The artists came all the way from Japan on their private visit to Nepal. At the program, they mentioned about their impression of Nepal and their current works.


We invited four Nepali guests to discuss, Mr. Narayan Wagle, Chief Editor of Kantipur and Novelist; Ms. Sumnima Udas, Executive Director of Lumbini Museum; Ms. Era Shrestha, NHK stringer  and Mr. Rabindra  Maharjan of Japanese Language Teachers’ Association Nepal (JALTAN). More than 90 art and literature loving audiences from Nepal and Japan enjoyed the program.
