Important Notice: Chartered flights to Japan and the border measures of the Government of Japan

Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 infection cases in Nepal from this June, the Government of Japan has been in the position of not to approve chartered flights to Japan for Nepali passengers, from June 11, 2020 onwards until further notice.  This decision is applicable for all Nepali, therefore, the Embassy of Japan do not issue any non-objection letters regarding above chartered flights.
The Government of Japan requests airlines to reduce the number of arrival passengers to Japan who use international flights, under the border enforcement measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  This is to ensure the appropriate implementation of quarantine measures on arrival.  These measures will be in place until the last day of July (the period may be renewed).
We hope that by overcoming this difficult COVID-19 situation together, our Japan-Nepal friendship will be strengthen further.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
