Important Notice: The border measure of the Government of Japan [further update]
Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 infection cases over the world, the Government of Japan added Nepal to the countries which are subject to denial of entry to Japan until further notice, on July 22, 2020.
Non-Japanese nationals who stayed in Nepal within 14 days prior to the application for landing will be denied to enter Japan in principle.
This measure is effective from 00:00am (JST), July 24, 2020.

The Embassy of Japan is unable to accept visa applications unless the Government of Japan will make an amendment for the decision regarding the border measure.

From June 11, 2020 onwards, the Government of Japan has been in the position of not to approve chartered flights to Japan for Nepali passengers until further notice. Therefore, the Embassy of Japan do not issue any non-objection letters regarding above chartered flights.
We believe that by overcoming this difficult COVID-19 situation together, our Japan-Nepal friendship will be strengthen further.
