Rackets for the Nepal Badminton Association

Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Nakayama handed over badminton rackets to the President of Nepal Badminton Association (NBA), Mr. Ramji Bahadur Shrestha, at a ceremony held at the Embassy on 16th January, 2020. Nepal Olympic Committee President, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha also attended. The ceremony was a kick-off promotion event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
The Nippon Badminton Association in Japan had donate the 80 badminton rackets. The activity was a part of the Japanese Government's "SPORT FOR TOMORROW" scheme. Badminton is one of the most popular sports in Nepal, enjoyed by many people all over the country. The NBA conducts trainings and tournaments for aspiring Nepali players.
