Ambassador KIKUTA confirmed with Inspector General Raju Aryal the importance of security for the development of Nepal and continued cooperation.

(Kathmandu, June 10): H.E. Mr. KIKUTA Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Raju Aryal, Inspector General of Police, at the Armed Police Force HQ, Halchowk, Kathmandu.
Ambassador Kikuta congratulated Inspector General Aryal in person for his appointment as the IGP in May. He also expressed his condolences to the victims of the plane crash that occurred on May 29, and paid tribute to the police officers who searched for the victims. General Aryal noted that Nepal, like Japan, is an earthquake-prone country and expressed his desire to share knowledge on disaster countermeasures with Japan.
Inspector General Aryal also noted the long friendly bilateral relations between the two countries and pledged to do his utmost to assist in rescue efforts in the event of a serious incident or natural disaster in the future, especially if Japanese nationals are involved.
