Japan Supports General Election in Nepal
The Government of Japan is supporting the House of Representative General Election in Nepal. This support is being provided using counterpart funds based on Food Assistance Projects from Japan. Ahead of the general election on March 5, the Government of Nepal has been allocated 397.5 million rupees from the fund for activities such as updating election management software, training officials, and conducting election education.
This year marks the milestone 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Nepal. Japan and Nepal have maintained a long-standing friendship and close relationship through mutual cooperation. The Embassy of Japan hopes that this cooperation will further strengthen the friendship between Japan and Nepal.
