Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs KOMURA Masahiro and Hon. Foreign Minister Saud shared the view to further develop the cordial bilateral relations between Japan and Nepal
 
(Kathmandu, February 14): On February 10, 2024, Mr. KOMURA Masahiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Hon. Narayan Prakash Saud, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 7th Indian Ocean Conference, held in Perth, Australia. 

Mr. Komura reiterated his appreciation to the letters of condolences by Rt. Hon. Mr. Ramchandra Paudel, President of Nepal, and Rt. Hon. Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Prime Minister of Nepal, on the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and expressed his will to further develop the mutual understandings and friendly relationship between Japan and Nepal through the enhancement of people-to-people exchanges and cooperation at international organizations, with regard to the upcoming events including the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025, and the graduation of Nepal from LDC status and 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Nepal in 2026.
 
Hon. Minister Saud expressed the gratitude to Japan’s long-term cooperation with the socio-economic development of Nepal and highlighted that long history of cordial bilateral relationship should be accelerated moreover.
