Japanese Film Festival in Kathmandu
(Kathmandu, January 30): The Embassy of Japan, in association with the Japan Foundation, is organizing the Japanese Film Festival in Kathmandu on January 31 and February 1, 2025. The event is supported by the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association Nepal (JALTAN). All the movies being screened during the festival are sub-titled in English and the entry is free on the first-come-first-served basis. The film-screening schedule is as follows:
Venue: The National Theatre (राष्ट्रिय नाचघर), Jamal

12:00 p.m. Brave Father Online-our story of FINAL FANTASY XIV
2:15 p.m. ITO
February 1 (Sat)
11:00 a.m. Dreaming of the Meridian Arc
1:00 p.m. Lu over the wall
3:00 p.m. The Fish Tale
Besides the Film Festival, there will be an opportunity to experience wearing the Japanese dress—Yukata and Happi coat—at the venue on Saturday, February 1.
The Embassy hopes that such events will be an interesting experience for the Nepali people to encounter with the Japanese culture and lifestyle.
