Statement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for
Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
on the Dismissal of the Prime Minister and the Dissolution of the Council of the Ministers in the Kingdom of Nepal

- The Government of Japan observes closely the recent political developments and fluid situation following the dismissal of the Prime Minister and the dissolution of the Council of Ministers in the Kingdom of Nepal, and hopes that the current political crisis will be solved soon within the framework of the constitution and that peace and stability is maintained in the country.
- The Government of Japan hopes that the Government of Nepal, based upon democracy and constitutional monarchy, will conduct a free and fair election as soon as possible.
