On Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:46 p.m., an enormously powerful earthquake struck Japan with its seismic center off the Sanriku coast. This has resulted in tremendous damage across a wide area, centered on the Tohoku district.  Powerful Tsunami hit the northern Japan immediately after the earthquake.
