Japanese Film Festival in Kathmandu

The Embassy of Japan, in cooperation with the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association Nepal (JALTAN), is organizing a two-day Japanese Film Festival in Kathmandu on February 27th and 28th, 2015 to introduce and promote Japanese people, culture, society, and way of life to the people of Nepal.
Entry passes to the movie shows are necessary and available for free from the Embassy of Japan, Panipokhari and the JALTAN Office in the International Languages Campus, Exhibition Road on a first-come-first-served basis. The films will be screened with English subtitles and the screening schedule of the film festival is as follows:-

27th February 2015 (Friday)
15:00 The Wife of Gegege (119 min.)
28th February 2015 (Saturday)
11:00 Children Who Chase Lost Voices (116 min.)
13:15 Swing Girls (105 min.)
15:15 Éclair (105 min.)
The Embassy and JALTAN also organized a similar Japanese Film Festival in Pokhara for two days on January 30th and 31st, 2015 in which large numbers of people enjoyed the different flavors of Japanese movies.
It is hoped that the film festival will contribute to the understanding of Japanese culture by Nepalese people, and in turn lead to the continued development of our friendly relations.
