The Embassy of Japan held a "Poster Exhibition of Japanese Graphic Art" from November 29 to December 10, at the Japanese Embassy Hall. Ambassador Mr. Hiraoka and Prof. Dr. Basudev Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of Royal Nepal Academy inaugurated the exhibition.
The exhibition introduced the Japanese graphic art of Mr. Norio Fujishiro and Mr. Shinsuke Shiozawa.
Mr. Fuzishiro's posters focus on the works that have been inspired by the masks used in Noh and Kyogen (Japanese classical theater). He has developed his own unique style of art, creating these masks with themes such as the environment, peace and world heritage. Mr. Shiozawa is a renowned artist in Japan and is particularly well known for his graphic design work. Furthermore, he has received many prestigious awards for his exquisite designs.
The subject and the works in this exhibition reflected each artist's philosophy and showed the combination of traditional and contemporary Japanese art. |
