New Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Launched

In order to ensure the continuing relevancy and accuracy of the JLPT, the Japan Foundation and the Japan Education Exchange and Services are going to introduce a revised version of the test in 2010.

Four key points of the new JLPT are:

  1. Increased focus on communicative competence
  2. The scoring method is revised to ensure a more accurate measurement of Japanese-language proficiency
  3. What you can do in Japanese is easily visualized
  4. The number of levels is increased from 4 to 5; examinees can select a more suitable level



Applications for the July session are available at 20 JALTAN-member schools.

Submission Date:
March 21, 28 and April 4 (2:00-5:00 hrs)

Venue:
JALTAN office, Bishwo Bhasa Campus, ExhibitionRoad

Application fee: Rs. 300

Examination fee: Rs. 700
